Enemy Territory is one of the most addictive and played online FPS games on the Linux platform. Although 5 years passed since it was released, ET still has a large user base and great, updated mods are available for it.
To fix the sound issues in ET, just follow the instructions from here. Basically, you will only have to copy their script, put it in your $PATH (or anywhere else if you like), then run it instead of running the ET binary.
